Wife was involved in an accident with a client of the Hartford, They have been AWFUL to work with. The insured was clearly at fault. Agent says the need to investigate. When you rearend someone, or actually 3 cars that are all in a turn lane and stopped - Does it take two weeks to investigate? We had to turn it to our company to handle. Oh and rental care - save receipts and they say they will reimburse for reasonable rate. Funny - offered an injury settlement too - they said sign it but it would not stop further claim rights. Stay away from the Hartford!!!!!

Another day passed and still received nothing. I decided to give my adjuster Tonya a call and she said to me she would send the documents over and assured me her supervisor had spoken with me and sent me them earlier in the week, which couldnt be any further from true. Upon receipt of the documents Tonya noted in her email that we last spoke on october 3rd and the day after she was supposed to be sending me the documents which never happened. I noticed more misinformation in my statement of loss and as well as it was only half completed. She also included the settlement offer which doesnt compensate for a month more of business loss due to the time it took them to send me the documents, as well as their offer doesnt cover even half of the expenses they agreed were necessary in a report they had sent me. She then advised me that her "being human" gives her the right to send me documents with wrong information, not respond to phone calls or emails, and then proceeded to ask me whether i have tried taking out a business loan! Your company expects me to go further into debt, because you dont want to honor your policy and give allowances that have been deemed necessary to repair my business! I cannot believe your president, ceo and other higher ups allow this type of behavior from your employees. Just scroll through your visitors posts and youll see im not alone..

Everything you see in the commercials is A LIE!!Despite how caring and willing to make you whole again they may say they are, their actions state otherwise. My business is going on 9 months of being shutdown, and my adjuster and her supervisor along with the head of property and casualty can't even respond to an email almost a week later. They cant even get even get it together long enough to even make a statement of loss. 5 adjuster later, and they still cant even get the information of the case right, even basic stuff such as THE CAUSE AND LOCATION OF THE LOSS!It is absolutely total incompetence.Chances are my business will be forced to shut down due to the way The Hartford and their staff handled/is handling my case. If you purchase an insurance policy with them, be assured the only "insurance" anyone is getting, is The Hartford making sure they collect their premium every month. BEWARE
