It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and founding partner, Bob "Mully" Mulholland. Words cannot express how much he will be missed, but we are unbelievably grateful for the time we were able to spend with him. At the request of his family, we would like to share with you Mully's obituary: Bob E. “Mully” Mulholland passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017. He was born on February 20, 1957 in Denville, New Jersey to the Late Dr. Robert E. and Mary Mulholland. He is survived by his beloved daughters and sons-in-law Colleen Mary and Gabriel Charles Sanjurjo and Casey Anne and Geoffrey William Moore along with three grandchildren: Hensley Jane and Rebecca Lynne Moore and Cillian Gabriel Sanjurjo. His beloved son, the late Connor Michael Mulholland passed away in 1987. He is also survived by five brothers and sisters: Patricia Poland and Moira Durivage of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kevin Mulholland of Morristown, New Jersey; General Sean Mulholland of Huntersville, North Carolina; and Sheila Mulholland Kettles of Chesterfield, New Jersey. There are also many nephews and nieces surviving from the Mulholland and Dolan families respectively. Bob grew up in Lake Valhalla, Montville New Jersey and after receiving his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Catholic University in Washington, D.C, attended the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he lived for the remainder of his life. He was the founding member of Mulholland & Sutlive, LLC. Before starting his firm, Mully was a litigator with several of the most prominent insurance defense firms in the Southeast, and started a Plaintiff’s practice with the knowledge he’d developed over the previous 20 years. Before becoming an attorney, Bob worked as a social worker, helping dialysis patients with their needs and treatment. He credited the experience of being the primary advocate for these patients as the main reason he became a forceful champion for catastrophically injured individuals in his practice. During his illustrious career, Mully earned a Martindale-Hubble AV Preeminent rating from his peers, and was named to the Georgia Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite numerous times. He carried a AVVO 10.0 rating, and was regularly listed as a Georgia Super Lawyer for many years. He was a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and the American Association for Justice. He was admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, in all Georgia trial courts, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the Georgia Court of Appeals. Mully was also admitted to the United States Supreme Court. Bob was a competitive golfer who held many club championships and member-guest titles including a record-setting round of 65. His golf swing was poetry-in-motion, only to be matched by his incredible wit and sense of humor. He loved Premier soccer and was an avid Fulham fan for reasons no one can explain. His loyalty, integrity, and generosity to others in need was well known. Bob was God’s grace in action having been sober for over twenty-one years, during which he dedicated his time to helping others gain sobriety. He lived his life with kindness, generosity, and integrity with a heart for the less fortunate. He touched hundreds of people in his work and personal life leaving them better for having known him and setting the standard for others to follow. Mully’s greatest legacy will always be his beloved children, grandchildren, family, and friends. His profound impact on others cannot be overstated. He lived his life in sober appreciation for the gifts he was given. He shared that appreciation in his actions with all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. The Mulholland, Sanjurjo, Moore, Dolan, and Mulholland & Sutlive Families invite family and friends to share in a celebration of Bob’s life on Saturday, August 19th at the Young Center for the Performing Arts at St. Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta at 1pm. A reception will follow at 3pm at Smoke Rise Golf & County Club in Stone Mountain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mully’s memory to the State Bar of Georgia Lawyers’ Assistance Program (LAP). Please contact or visit for more information. Condolences may be sent to: 7975 Spalding Hills | Atlanta, GA 30350

As the temperatures in Atlanta continue to rise, it’s crucial to understand the risks of leaving children and pets in hot cars. Temperatures inside of a vehicle can rise more quickly than you may think, and children are especially at risk for heat stroke and even death. “Children have died in cars with the temperature as low as 63 degrees. Basically the car becomes a greenhouse. At 70 degrees on a sunny day, after a half hour, the temperature inside a car is 104 degrees. After an hour, it can reach 113 degrees,” reports Professor Jan Null of San Francisco State University. This summer, keep your kids and pets safe by keeping them with you and out of the heat! It’s not worth the risk. #SafetyFirst
